Using Elementor I created a page that just contains the [wpbb-register] short code. When I display the page it only shows the short code.

I also created such a page for login. It works perfectly fine.

Why does the [wpbb-login] work, but not [wpbb-register] ?

FWIW, my theme is Twenty Nineteen. WordPress, Elementor, and Profile Builder are all the latest versions.

  • Hi there,

I see that you have also opened a ticket on our website, that has already been answered, so let’s continue there.

    Best regards,
    Gabriel

I’m having the same issue. Is there a public answer for this?

The shortcode is displaying, not the registration form itself. All other Log In and My Profile shortcodes display correctly.

    Thanks,
    Heather

    Hello Heather,

Here is what I have replied to NBI (but I have got no reply):

If the [wppb-login] shortcode works then indeed the [wppb-register] sortcode should also work.

What happens if you place the [wppb-register] shortcode right next to [wppb-login]? Does it work then? Please pay attention to the characters use only square brackets and the text wpbb-register inside them.

Also, if you have something like a text editor in Elementor (as opposed to visual), please use it. Our documentation says “Add the [wppb-register] shortcode inside using the Text Editor (not Visual)”

Or perhaps you can use a shortcode block, if it has such a thing. I know that Gutenberg does, and it works quite well.

    With the best of regards,
    Gabriel

    Hi,
I am having exactly the same issue with the “register” short code.
I have tried copying the login to the register page and it works ok, then if i copy the register to the login page, all it displays is the shortcode inside the square brackets on the actual site page, no registration form?

    Any other suggestions?
    Thanks
    Craig

    Hi Craig,

So what is the exact shorcode that you are using? Are you using any parameters?

Please try simply [wppb-register] without any parameters.

And place it in a new page.

    Does it work then?

    Best regards,
    Gabriel
