Registration, Login and Redirect Issues

  • I have spent many, many hours trying to get Ultimate Member (version 2.0) working and continue to struggle. First, when a new user registers, they are given the role of subscriber, not member. I’m not sure if that matters and if it does, how to make the user be a member.

    Second and more importantly, I have the User Roles for both subscriber and member set to “Refresh Active Page” after logging in. However, the user is always redirected to the profile page.

    Finally, can you tell me if it’s possible to restrict a URL download link?

    I’m happy to purchase the bundle and support but I need to feel comfortable that the plugin will work. It does not flow with the documentation.

    Hi @luanapost,

    Please keep in mind that the 2.0 version is still in beta.
    Make sure that you’ve downloaded the latest 2.0.2 beta release.
    We are working hard on fixing any issues we can find in the new version of the core so we can push it to the WordPress repo very soon.

    I’m afraid it’s not possible to restrict download link in the current version of the plugin.

    Thank you for your response. I do have the latest version. Is there a bug in the new 2.02 version that doesn’t allow the current page to refresh when a user logs in? If I remove this version and install the older version, will there be problems with the work I’ve done so far?
