• I don’t know what has changed, whether a plugin update or theme but our site registration page is no longer allowing signups unless I deactivate wp-members plugin. It has been working fine the last twelve months.

    The registration page is https://islandnaturetrust.ca/register/

    I’ve tried using a wp-members shortcode within the page but I get the same response;

    ‘User registration is currently not allowed.’

    ‘Anyone can register’ is disabled in settings but for some reason, wp-members isn’t replacing registration options with its own form.

    I’ve also set the page restriction setting to ‘blocked’ but the issue persists.

    Any help would be appreciated…

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    That message actually comes from BuddyPress (which you’re also running).

    When using BuddyPress, you need to enable “Anyone can register”.

    for some reason, wp-members isn’t replacing registration options with its own form.

    BP has its own reg form. If the BP “register” page setting is the same as the WP-Members registration page, BP will override whatever you have in WP-Members.
