registration link goes to 404

  • Hello,
    The invitation link that appears automatically in the invitation mail (%%ACCEPTURL%%) (as well as the unsubscribe link) goes to an non-existing page ‘/register/’.
    Am I doing something wrong or isn’t the plugin compatible any more with the latest wordpress and buddypress versions? Are there specific Buddypress settings that are necessary to make this work?

  • I think you need to do 2 things:

    1) create a WP page called “accept” (with no content), and

    2) in your buddypress settings in the ‘pages’ section, point to ‘register’ and ‘activate’ pages – but there is some flexibility with this step depending on how your WP site is set up

    And yes, this stuff seems to be a secret that’s hidden somewhere – maybe not even in the documentation. I cant even recall how I figured it out. Hope that helps.
