I do not have a WordPress blog, but I registered a long time ago so that I could comment on blogs here.

I can sign in and comment under posts at this WordPress blog just fine: https://theness.com/neurologicablog/

But when I go to this WordPress blog and attempt to sign in, I am not able to: https://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/

This led me to think that perhaps one needs to sign into each blog separately in order to post, so I attempted to register under a different email address for that Science-Based Medicine blog. I received a message stating that a registration email had been sent to my email address. However, it still hasn’t arrived after an hour.

I was also not able to sign into these forums using the user name and p.w. that work for that first blog I listed. I guess you need to register separately for these forums as well, which I did (successfully obviously). That’s fine, but why would I need to have a separate sign-in for that Science-Based Medicine blog I listed if it is still part of WordPress?

Btw, I have Firefox with the NoScript add-on. It was active during my first attempt to register, but I then disabled it and restarted Firefox just in case.

Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer.

www.remarpro.com has no relation with the single-sign-on options of WordPress.com and its blogs.

https://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/ and https://theness.com/neurologicablog/ are NOT hosted by WordPress.com so if they require registration then they do on their own. That login will, in no way, be related to your account here or at wp.com.

If you’re having login issues on their sites, you have to ask them for help.

Thank you for the feedback. I just want to clarify something. At the bottom of each of the blog entries posted to each of those blogs, it says “You must be logged in to post a comment”, where the words “logged in” are a link. I click on that link and it takes me to a page that says WordPress and asks me for my Username and Password. When I click on WordPress on that page, it takes me to a page with www.remarpro.com at the top and also a “Forum” link at the top. When I click on that forum link, it takes me here. I therefore naturally assumed that these forums were here to help with issues I had at that www.remarpro.com sign-in page. Here is the link: https://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/?p=12666

If I understand correctly, even though that page says WordPress and links here, those blogs actually have their own individual sign-in systems that are not related to www.remarpro.com? I can accept that if it is true, but I must admit it is very confusing.

That is correct. The part that’s confusing you is … well it makes sense ?? There is nothing tied in to your www.remarpro.com login, except stuff here on www.remarpro.com domain. That’s it. Everything else is just saying ‘hey! I run WordPress! Isn’t it cool!’ And that confusion is why a lot of us theme our login pages.

Thank you very much for the information. I really do appreciate it, and I have a better understanding now of how WordPress is associated with those blogs. I contacted the admin for that blog a little earlier and they have already sent a reply.
