I recently upgraded to version 7 of TML. We were using php templates for the forms under the old version, but if I understand the documentation, that no longer works.

I’m trying to set up the settings for the new version, and I have the registration slug set to register-tml. However, when I go to this page, it automatically redirects with a 302 to /signup/. I can’t figure out where this redirect is coming from, or how to get it to go to the Theme My Login registration page at the slug I defined.

I find this new version very confusing. Is the only way to customize the forms now by using the “Adding Extra Registration Fields?” Do I have to convert my templates to get my form to appear the way I want it to?

    Thanks for your help.

It sounds like you are using multisite, which users /signup instead of /register.

Yes, the forms are now customized using PHP code as documented at https://docs.thememylogin.com.

Thank you. Yes, we are using multisite. I can see how to add registration fields per your documentation, and I can do that. However, how do I remove or change the title at the top of the form, “Get your own Moms Choice Awards account in seconds”? I want it to just say “Register”.

Also, how can I apply a template to the registration page? I created a page for the registration form per your documentation, using the shortcode [theme-my-login action=”register”]. However, since the registration page is redirecting to the /signup page, it doesn’t seem like it’s recognizing any template selection I make on the registration page I created.

Unfortunately, due to the way the multisite signup part is coded, there is no way to easily change that, short of creating and using your own English translation of the plugin. I will look into changing that.

As far as using a page for signup, you’ll just need to create a page for the signup slug.

Thank you. With the old version, we had it activated separately on the individual sites. But the documentation for the new version indicated it should be activated on the network admin page. Is it possible to activate it on the separate individual sites? That would solve that problem, I think.

Interestingly, changing the slug on the page with the TML shortcode to /signup did actually also change the title from “Get your own Moms Choice Awards account in seconds” to “Register.” The signup page looks the way I want it to, but when I submitted the form it just goes back to the same form but with the fields emptied and no error message, and the registration doesn’t seem to have been submitted.

You don’t have “signup” used for any slug in TML settings do you?

    No, I don’t. Should I?

No, you should not. We may need to do some testing of this on our own. It’s possible that multisite doesn’t work the same way as single site when it comes to this.

    Thanks. I appreciate it.

Hi Jeff. Any progress on this?

If the problem is multisite, will this version work activated on the individual sites? With the older version that’s the way we had it set up, but the instructions for this version said to activate it on the network level, so I did that because I wasn’t sure if it would work anymore activated on the individual sites.

I’m sorry, I have not had time to test due to family issues.

TML 7+ is network-only so it can only be activated at the network level.

OK thank you. I’m sorry to hear about your family issues.

Hi Jeff. I hope that things have improved for you. Is there anything we can do to move this forward?

    Hi Everyone,
I am having the same issue. WordPress did some updates on Saturday. this made our registration form not working and not taking subscriptions from our users.
Can some one help me with this please!!
    Thanks,
    Amal
