registration form fields not showing in edit profile form page

  • Created a registration form. I included the facebook, twitter, instagram fields. If user signs up and fills out form completely, all elements show in the “members” shortcode assigned page. If a member is logged in and goes to edit their profile, the additional fields i added in the registration form, (facebook, twitter, etc), do not show on the edit profile page, thus can not be added or edited.

    Thoughts? I googled looking for UM form setup tutorials and didn’t find anything helpful as well as search um dev docs.

  • I am having same issues, normally the fields in the registration form should have an option where one can turn it on or off to either show or not show in the profile fields, also it makes no sense after collecting some information from the user during registration and the user loggs in and can’t find the details he previously filled, it makes site looks childish.
    please anyone who can help me with this setting as to have registration fields to also show in edit profile

    I backed up everything and am manually updating to Ultiate Member 2.0
    Hopefully this issue will be fixed. I have some code snippets that I hope continue to work. I’ll keep you posted either way.

    Updated to 2.0. Didn’t fix edit profile fields not showing up to edit issue.

    I have the UM Woocommerce 2.0 paid addon. Updating broke site. Emailed tech paid support regarding UM Woo 2.0 breaking site. Mentioned issue we’re trying to address here.

    Really? so should it be that the plugin was not designed to work in that manner? because if it where originally planned to work in that manner i wonder why the support team have not said anything in this regards

    having users fill a form during registration and then can’t find any of the details filled in their profile during editing is not just funny

    i am waiting to hear their response to you bro, and if you were able to fix the problems from the support they gave you.

    Hi @j66brad and @pandglobal,

    Please make sure that the new fields are added to the profile form in Ultimate member -> Forms?
    Do you have this issue only with social fields e.g. facebook, twitter etc.

    Yeah it doesn’t work. Tried making a custom registration form and profile form. Included the same fields on both forms. On the profile form I added the meta feilds in “User Meta” for 4 of the six added fields which have meta keys.

    Twitter
    Facebook
    YouTube
    Mobile Number
    Birth Date

    ________

    The info shows up when viewing the user profile. Once you hit edit the profile the only added editable field is the “Biography”. All other fields don’t even show up.
