Registration error message on mobile

    Hi!

    I have a problem with your registration form on Mobile devices.

    When I try to register as a new user through the registration form two error messages appear:
    1. This username already exists. Please try a different one! Under the username input field.
    2. This email is already in use. Please try a different one! Under the email input field.

    These two error messages appear even though the registered email and username are NOT already in use. Another thing, the error message appears only on mobile, and after it’s displayed the user get created and signed in (so only affects front-end?).

    I did some custom CSS for the error messages with WP code plugin, but I’ve already tried disabling that plugin, and it doesn’t fix it. In fact I’ve tried disabling all the other plugins (leaving just the profile builder) and the error message persists.

    I hope you can provide some insight into my issue as I’m currently stuck and have no other solutions.

    After some more debugging I’ve come to the conclussion that the error appears on mobile phone when I add the shortcode [wppb-register] via the Gridder editor of my theme (laytheme). If I add it via the classic WordPress editor this doesn’t occur.

    I’ll open a ticket with the devs of the theme, but maybe are you still able to help me bipassing this issue? Thanks!

    Hey there,

    Thank you for the detailed explanation!

    For us to be able to see if there is something that we can do about this issue, we will need to install the Laytheme locally (in order to reproduce the issue), but it seems that the theme is available only as a paid version (I couldn’t find a free version in the WordPress Repository).

    Note: I’ve also looked at the following page: https://www.nimasizbire.com/, and it seems the Registration form from there is currently created with a different plugin (not Profile Builder).

    Hey!

    Thank you for your response, I’m sorry for not getting back to you sooner – was busy with release of the website.

    I think that the issue lies with the LayTheme and some outdated server side utilites. Sadly the LayTheme devs aren’t of much help. To hotfix the issue I just switched to another plugin.
