    Hello,
I have set up a registration form for my site, but when I test it I will get an error that reads
“This username is already reserved to be used soon.
    Please try a different one!”
This happens when I try to create a new profile with username and email, but then I will still get an e-mail confirmation though and member activation link and it will work.

  • Hi,

It seems like that the registration page gets executed twice, that’s why you get that error. Can you deactivate all other plugins and also use a default WordPress theme to test it out?

Are you using the WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin?

Also are you using WordPress MultiSite?

    Best regards,

    Hello,

I was using the wordpress SEO by Yoast. I deactivated that as well as all of my plugins and reverted back to the default wordpress theme and the plugin worked. I’m currently using the vantage wordpress theme. I also started re-activating my plugins and then would test the registration form and it still worked! The only plugin I have not re-activated is SEO Yoast. Does that plugin interfere with your plugin? Thank you for your time and response.

    Best,
    Philip

    Hi,

Yes there is an issue with WordPress SEO by Yoast. Can you check in SEO -> Titles & Metas and make sure “Force rewrite titles” is Off?

    Best regards,

I’m having this same problem, I made sure that was turned off in Yoast but I’m still having the problem.

    Hi,

Unfortunately the conflict with WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin is not yet fixed. It is in our to do list but we do not have an estimated time when it will be done.

It seems like that the registration page gets executed twice, that’s why you get those errors. Would it be possible that you contact them and have their opinion also?

I am sorry but until then I do not have a solution for your problem.

    Best regards,

I’m having this problem and have removed SEO Yoast but the problem is still there

    Hi,

If you are using Yoast SEO plugin then you need to edit the page where you placed the registration form. Scroll down the page until you find the WordPress SEO metabox.
From this metabox, you can edit the title and the description.
There you need to manually write an appropriate description. It doesn’t matter what you write, as long as you do not let the description automatically fill.

Let me know if this fixes the issue.

    Best regards,
