Registration Consent Not Saved

    Hello,

    I have a registration form on my website and this plugin added the acceptance checkbox automatically at the end of the form. However, when a user successfully registers after checking the checkbox, the consent cannot be seen in the privacy tools? Please let me know if there is anything I need to be doing to fix this. Awesome plugin btw.

    The privacy policy consent is hidden from visitors by default. Visitors should not have the possibility to withdraw it because if they do that, you may no longer process their data. So if they do not agree to your privacy policy anymore, then you can point them towards the “DELETE MY DATA” button ??

    I feel we should clear this up a bit more in the docs. Thanks for pointing this out.

    Hmmm, I think it would be better to actually show the consent to privacy policy. I tested agreeing to privacy policy by posting a test comment and it is shown in my profile page. “I accept privacy policy” is mentioned there. So I am a bit puzzled at GDPR Framework 1.0.7 seems to display the agreement to privacy policy.

    I think it is good to display it together with a note: You can revoke your agreement by deleting your data.

    Hmm. I have a feeling you are right. The way it is currently is causing lots of confusion and it will cause more in the future.

    I’ll add this to our todo list, medium-high priority. Might not happen this week, but it’s important to get consents working nicely.
