    Hi,

    I’ve customized the look of the forum. But, I haven’t touched any functionality of the plugin.

    Currently, I have 3 registered users(1 admin 2 users) as I can see in the wpForo >> Members section. When I login to different accounts in different browsers, I expect to see the avatars of the online members. But, I can only see the default “No online members at the moment” message.

    Even if I haven’t set avatars, I’m guessing it should show the default user avatar.

    Best Regards,
    Pratik

    Hi @patrick2997,
    wpForo Online Member’s widget has User Groups Settings make sure that you have selected which wpForo Usergroup should be visible in the widget.
    You can select several usergroups with pressing CTRL button.

    Hi,

    Yes, I am aware of that. I’ve tried doing registered users as well as selecting every user group using CTRL plus click. Still doesn’t work. Please let me know if you have any other idea why I’m having this issue.

    Best Regards

    Hi @patrick2997,
    Your issues come from SiteGround Optimizer plugin. I’d recommend disabling this plugin because the whole website is only for the forum. wpForo forum doesn’t need any cache solutions. All cache plugins breaks wpForo. Please read this topic: https://wpforo.com/community/faq/wpforo-and-cache-plugins/

    BTW, excluding forum pages from SiteGround Optimizer plugin won’t work in your case, because you’ve set forum as a home page, so the whole site should be excluded from SiteGround Optimizer plugin, in other words you should disable this plugin.

    Hi,

    I’ve disabled siteground central, optimizer and security. It definitely helped but the issue still persists.

    The issue now is that after I select the user groups and update, if I reload, those user groups are unselected. When I click out of the user groups widget, I can see those online members in the preview but if I reload, the same “No online members” message is seen and no user groups are selected.

    @patrick2997,
    Please provide video where we can see what happens after you select the Usergroups.

    @patrick2997,
    ok, Understood what’s happening
    Download and install classic widgets plugin then when you select the usergroups of the widgets you will see blue Save Button, press it and then refresh the page.

    It works. Thank you.

    What was the issue and what did the plugin do? It would help to know for future projects with wpForo as well as let my client know what the issue exactly was. After that, you can mark this thread as solved.

    @patrick2997,
    It’s about Gutenberg widget view, which doesn’t show wpForo widgets Save Button.
    Just use that Classic widget Button and all be good.
