Registered users don’t receive their password

  • Hi, I just installed PHP, MySQL & WordPress. It works with just one problem.

    I know I filled in the wrong value SOMEWHERE (where was that?) At one point in the install it asked for my SMTP server and I think I just put local. I can’t find how to change that answer. My email is Hosed Exchange by a third party so it’s not as simple as POP SMTP server. Thoughs there would be nice but I can play with that if I just know how to change the SMTP server I gave WordPress.

  • You enter database details in the wp-config.php file. Originally this was wp-config-sample.php. Refer to the install instructions in ReadMe.html which came with the files for full installation instructions.
    When you find this enter ‘localhost’ in line 6, save (and change to wp-config.php if you haven’t done that already) and upload.
