Register Plus Redux displaying extra fields. Help please!

    Stumped! This plug-in was working great last year. I haven’t had to use it since last February as there was no reason to register for my site between now and then. I went back today to check on it and, bam, it’s showing extra fields and not even the WP logo. I have no idea what happened. The other odd thing is I have an offline copy of this site and the plugin works fine. Both are using WP 4.1 and the most recent 4.0.3 version of the plug-in.

    I’ve tried removing it and re-installing it and that didn’t help. I love the options of user selected password since the WP default registration that includes a password ends up in many Junk email bins. I also love the Invitation Code and I’d hate to have to change to another. Does anyone have any ideas?

    The 3 non asterisk fields are not supposed to be there!

    The answer…in case anyone else should have this problem…was another plugin (WP-SpamShield) was doing it’s thing by adding some registration fields.

    Hi AJ1820, in WP-SpamShield settings, use the option “Disable Registration Spam Shield” and those extra fields will go away. They’re part of the registration anti-spam process, but if it conflicts with another registration plugin, or you don’t need registration spam protection, you can disable that.
