register ftp uploaded audio file to Media Library

  • Yoren I have uploaded audio file by ftp to my HTML_Public/makotosbeat/WP-content/uploads/07/file.wav, but it does not appear in my library. Will this plugin help me to register the file with the Media library so i can see it in WordPress?

    Using:
    BlueHost as Host
    osx 10.8.5
    WP 4.2.2

    Hey the files need to be uploaded within the Media Library to show in the search results. If you uploaded a file with FTP, WordPress wouldn’t’ know it exists, neither would this plugin.

    Try the “Media from FTP” plugin, which searches for files uploaded by FTP into the Uploads folder, and adds them to Media Library. Optionally reads file date or meta-data to move into year-month folders.
