    Hello,

In order to prevent bot abuse on the user/instructor register forms, could you please add Google reCAPTCHA support?

It should be a setting in the dashboard that, when enabled, will hook the captcha to those forms.

Also, it would be great if user/instructor email verification is added at register, so that users will need to verify their email before login to the website.

This would solve all issues related to fake/bad users, bots etc.

Right now, anyone can register and start doing all kinds of nasty stuff, like posting bad comments and so on…

    Thanks!

    Hi @tanohex

Google reCAPTCHA and email verification are nice to have features in our plugin. We will be discussing these features within our team and decide to make them available for free or pro version.

    Thank you for your suggestion

Sorry, but I didn’t realize that in 2022 people are still setting a price on basic security.
In a world run by bots and hackers, having user validation and verification is beyond important. It’s just standard practice.

If the email verification is too much for the free version, then you can at least add reCAPTCHA to the register forms (which, by the way, isn’t bot proof, but it’s something).

Also, for the email verification system, you can get some hints on how to implement it, from this plugin that does it very well.

    Thanks!
