Register form set user role not working

  • Hello,

    I’ve a huge huge problem. I’ve tried so much to fix it but no effect. Let me explain my problem. I’ve installed UM to create new roles and to have a registration form. My registration form contains a roles dropdown which has 2 values: Developer and Customer. The Developer role is my custom role created in UM. The Customer role comes from WooCommerce. When I create an account now and select Developer, the role is set successfully. But when I select Customer, the role isn’t set to the created user.

    Also the redirection for the customer role isn’t working but for the developer role all is working fine.

    Hi @lolitsjohnnyboy,

    What version of the Ultimate member you have installed on your site?
    Have you turned on custom settings for your registration form and assigning a default role? What role do you have as default in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Appearance -> Registration form?
    Please do a quick conflict test so we can rule out conflicts with your theme or other plugins and see if this issue goes away.
    Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    Hi,

    I’m using the latest version. I’ve set customer as standard role in the Registration form. When I remove the role select and do a registration all new users have the customer Role. But when I do it with the roles dropdown it doesn’t work. I’ve also did a conflict test but this was negative.
