(duplicate of a question asked on stackexchange)

I have created a plugin that allows you to generate and download XML files on the fly; when there is a suffix /xml after the post. (eg. mywebsite.com/2015/06/25/test/xml).

I think Jetpack hooks its tracker on the WordPress header or footer, but I didn’t have any in my XML since I need to have it valid and the most simple possible.

What I would like to do is to register those entries in Jetpack, ideally with a custom post title, so I could check which XMLs are the most downloaded.

Any idea on how achieving this ?

    Thanks !

    Hi there!

I’m afraid that isn’t possible with Jetpack Stats. I would recommend setting up a Google Analytics account and set up an event tracker or a tracker that would be compatible with the functions of your plugin. You’ll have more fine-tune control with the GA tools, so you should be able to configure something that will work for you.

    I hope that helps!
