• To use this plugin you must first make a popup (register?) at their website. So that’s a no no. Another company trying to horde in on your server.

Thank you for your feedback @nettpro, however this way we can provide many more features (than if we tried to stuff it into the plugin). It’s quite a common way to serve pop-ups, our competitors do the same.

    Hi @nettpro

Thank you for your feedback. Some quick points:

    • Our plugin mentions in the readme at several places that it’s an SaaS product that relies on the external site MyPopUps.com
    • This is in-line with how others do it in the market (not only pop-up providers but also Mailchimp etc.)
    • The way the plugin works is 100% in-line with the plugin guidelines
    • Your review made us lose our average 5-star, so we kindly ask you to reconsider your review

Some more information: The plugin was created to make it easier for MyPopUps.com users to integrate pop-ups into their website without any technical knowledge and effort. It’s simple and lightweight: the plugin size is 560 KB (zipped) only. Stuffing all of the features into the plugin would have made the plugin much larger, and more complicated to implement, which will have been to the disadvantage to the user in one form or another.

We understand if you do not want to use the plugin, however, as we’ve always been transparent from the get-go and fully in-line with all guidelines, could we kindly ask you to reconsider your review?

    Thank you!
