    Hi

I’ve added the Regions Module, and enabled a lot of regions.

    This is the directory: https://mindfulmusician.com/business-directory

I’m wondering how a user can sort the listings by location?
If I click where it says ‘Displaying listings from all locations’, I get the option to ‘clear filter’ or to ‘set filter’. If I press either of these, I get a blank screen.

Also, I can’t seem to set a region if I add a listing through the dashboard. If I go to ‘Business Directory Admin’, and select ‘Add New Listing’, there is a box on the right called ‘Listing Region’. But if I try to expand it, I see that it is empty.

    Hi banarzi,

The sorting (ordering) options available to BD listings are under Directory Admin->Manage Options, Listings tab. What you’re talking about in your first question sounds like you’re having some kind of a conflict during the filtering of listings. Blank screens almost always mean one of two things: a conflict or a resource limit.

Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/

If that doesn’t show anything, it’s possible that your hosting isn’t powerful enough to handle the region filtering queries on your database. Here’s an article about shared hosting and why that’s a potential issue: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/what-kind-of-hosting-should-i-use-for-wordpress-and-why-is-shared-hosting-a-problem/

For your second question–it sounds like you haven’t added any regions yet in your system, or again, that you have a conflict going on. If you added regions which it sounds like you did, then you should definitely investigate the conflict first as there may be something preventing the Javascript from properly executing to show the regions you added.

Report back on what you find here.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions. I’ve now checked for conflicts with other plugins as well as theme conflicts, and confirm that there are no conflicts.

I’ve checked with UK2.net, who say that there is definitely enough power to handle the region filtering queries on the database.

(I can also confirm that I have added regions)

Where should I go from here?
