Regional Google Map Display

Great Plugin, I have a small issue which may be easily solved by someone who knows how to do it.
I am currently building a “World Events” site, but I am using “Regions” as a category, then sub-categories hanging off them, ie: North America is a Category or “Region” and USA and Canada are sub categories.
Individual countries are easy to get around by using a shortcode like [events_list country=”US”] etc.
But I also have “Europe”, “Asia” etc, my question is this, is there a shortcode that will show say, only Europe or only Asia or Sth East Asia etc as a region and not a country. Is there a way to display maps by Continent perhaps ??
The reason for this is I have a page that displays all events in that particular Category or “Region”.
On a similar subject, is there any thing that will stop a map zooming up when there are only a couple of events in that region, I would like to try and have the map zoomed out to show the whole region.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Especially on how to implement it, I am no coding guru.
