• Hi,

While changing on WooCommerce a default translation of a Region name on my checkout page via Loco Translate to “Πελοπ?ννησο?” which is the correct at Greek translation, I still get the wrong name “Πελοπ?νησο?” (one letter “ν” is missing) on my front end checkout page. Why does this happen? As I can see, all the other modifications that I have made on WooCommerce Greek translations appear normally. Please check my screenshots below:

My translations are saved to languages/loco/plugins/woocommerce-el.po.

Waiting for your further advice on this issue.

    Thank you in advance,
    Dimitris

If you’re asking me to guess, I’d guess the translation is stored/duplicated somewhere and not being pulled live from the MO file every time your page is displayed.

How the MO files are used by your site is outside the remit of the file editor’s responsibility. See the pinned post.

Alternatively, your translation may be pulled from an installed translation file and not your own custom file. This can happen if you have a problem loading from Loco Translates custom location. You’ve not said what the situation is regarding string overrides but I can’t debug this for you anyway. Establishing exactly where your translation is coming from (which MO file, which cache, etc..) is something you will have to investigate yourself.
