    Hi

I’m unable to create or update new web story. Getting 403 and 502 erros on console for story API.
The REST API call gave the following unexpected result: (403) {“code”:”rest_cookie_invalid_nonce”,”message”:”Cookie check failed”,”data”:{“status”:403}}.

    Thanks

  • Hello @sudiksha152 thanks for getting in touch. This sounds like it could be due to a plugin conflict so could you please share your Site Health Information. You can share this information privately using this form.

Could you try running through the troubleshooting steps here which should identify any plugin conflicts if there are any causing this to happen when you’re trying to create Stories.

Let me know if you have any questions on the above.

    Hi
Is it possible to remove crop image option while uploading poster images. Actually, cropped images not getting s3 proper path it’s taking wromg and blank images showing in upload. This issue only occuring whenever uploading cropped poster images .

@sudiksha152 The poster image needs to have certain dimensions. When an image you select or upload does not meet these, you need to crop it. The dimensions are 640×853 which is suggested when you select a poster image here.

If you upload the poster image with the correct dimensions then you will not need to crop the image which should resolve this issue for you.

    Thanks for reply.
But is it possible to stop action on this crop options. Because it’s a issue if we uploading crop option even if using the same dimension.

@sudiksha152 If you are using Amazon S3 to offload media then this is likely a CORS issue. You can find out more about this and how to resolve it by going to our guide here.

okay but this is working fine for our main site in multisite but giving erros for other subsites.

    Thanks

@sudiksha152 If you could check through the guide and let me know if you still experience the issue after following any steps needed then I will be happy to assist you further with this.

Yes, I have resolved all the cors error which was occured evn though same issue occuring.

@sudiksha152 Would you be able to share a screen recording of this so that I can see exactly what’s happening here? You can use a service such as Loom to record and share here.

Can I also ask if you see any other console errors on the page when you are getting blank images?

It is also worth running through the troubleshooting steps here to see if there could be a plugin conflict causing this to happen.

Is it possible to share recording in personal chat??

@sudiksha152 You could share using a private Google Drive link. I can then happily request access to the file.

@adamdunnage When I first upload the image then it’s uploading fine to s3 bucket and showing image in media as you can see in screenshot https://tinyurl.com/2mzw37yr

But when I select poster image and crop it then it’s also uploading image into the s3 bucket and not showing image as you can see in the screenshot https://tinyurl.com/2n3mp98k

It clearly says, it’s not CORS issue. I am using multi-site environment.

    Sites URL in this way
    1. https://www.example.com/site1
    2.www.example.com/site2

Above all things are working fine for main site but not working for other sites.

@sudiksha152 Could you please log into your Amazon S3 account and bucket for your affected site. From here go to Permissions > Cross-origin resource sharing (CORS).

Do you currently have anything set in here? If you do not then this is likely why you are not seeing your images on your site. This does fall out of the support of the Stories plugin but you can find out more on this here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/userguide/enabling-cors-examples.html.

Let me know if your CORS settings are fully configured.

@sudiksha152 Are you still having issues here or have you managed to resolve these?
