Reg No Validation

  • Hi,
    Thanks for your amazing plugin.
    It’s great and I am very happy to use it.

    But there is a basic flaw I found, if there is a way to fix it, I will start dancing here. Let me describe my issues.

    1. The form does not validate the data. If I input a random ABCD it pass me to the manual page I added.
    2. Now the validation is not there, if someone inputs a reg that is not in DB, it is breaking the page.

    If you can validate and do not pass users unless they give us a valid Reg, it will fix my issue.
    If that’s not possible, anyway to just show a custom message? And let the user input the reg again? JSON shortcut I use on top of the page, it braking my pages. If you can please take a look at this URL and try REG ABCD123456

    Hello, hope you are well.

    The registration is queried on the results page, if nothing is found then the message “Vehicle Not Found, Please go back and try again.” is displayed with a link back to the previous page (if a http_referrer is set).

    This code could be changed to something custom by replacing lines 38-42 of free_vehicle_data_shortcodes.php with the custom code you desire.
