Refunded items on packing slip

I’m running into an interesting problem with a client. We need to show the refunded items on a receipt and packing slip, those show accurately on the emails, but show the original order number on the quantity column. Is it possible to hook into the quantity when there’s a refund on the line item and show the final quantity?

This matters because we need to show the refund info on the order history to demonstrate a swapped product, but the people packing the boxes may not be aware of the refund.
