Refund Field readOnly After 3.6.0

Hi,

I have not seen this as a difference, at least between WooCommerce 3.5.7 and 3.6.x.

Can you try adding numbers in line items and see if it works for you?

I have the same issue. I can not enter any numbers in the grayed out field anymore. Your green marked fields are set to 0. Still, no input is possible to the refund field directly as it was in the past. BUT, just now I played around more with the green marked fields and it looks like we need to put a positive quantity in the fields to automatically calculate the gray field? Is this correct? This is a significant change and should be highlighted and or documented somewhere.

@htdat if that’s the case why the same Order when I rollback to 3.5.8 simplay works?
I am not able to understand the logic? Why that field gets readonly
but then same field gets normal when switch back to 3.5.8???

@htdat Ah okay now I understand that.

By highlighting that part you mean that now to refund that you dont need to input the ammount here but at individual product level with quantity and that gets automatically filled in.

We’ve got feedback from our developers. And it seems there are some changes in WC 3.6 in the following. Well, I have not used “Refund Amount” field so I did not notice the difference.

WC 3.6 changed the way the refunds are done in orders. You now click the product to refund it, and choose to restock the item if you need to:

You can also control how much is refunded still by altering the price in the same fields:
