Refund amount is wrong formatted – error 10004
-
Hi,
in our shop the rounding preferences within the Woocommerce settings are set to 4 digits post the comma (this is required to avoid rounding errors in tax calculations). This causes no problems in payments or order management.
But when trying to refund an order an “error 10004 -Transaction refused because of an invalid argument, …the refund amount is not valid” occures.
This happens as the amount sent to PayPal is also in 4 digits post the comma format. eg. ‘169.0000’.
PayPal support told me PayPal only accepts 2 digits post the comma for the refund amount. So the amount should be formatted to ‘169.00’
Is there a way to force the refund amount to two digits post the comma?Anyway, I think it would be a good idea if the PayPal plugin generally reflects the PayPal interface requirements and force the amount formating to the mandantory format.
Regards,
Josef
