Refreshing server folder based galleries?

I’m creating galleries mostly based on the “add from Server Folder” feature. Sometimes I want to add/delete photos from server folder and have those changes be reflected in the gallery. The only way I’ve found to do this is to go into the Gallery edit page in wp-admin, deleting the folder reference and then adding it back. Is there a better way to refresh the gallery on the site when the server folder changes?
