Reformatting the Profile Page

I would like to change the appearance of the profile page. I would like to place city and state on the same line and shore up line spacing at various places. I suspect that this is not supported modifications and that I might have to hack up a PHP file somewhere. I would just like to know which PHP file controls the formatting of profiles. Can someone tell me that?
