Referer blocking help

    Like many other sites, my analytics are plagued with spam referers, semalt, button-for-websites and a few others.

    I tried to block them with the refer blocking tool (typing *semalt.com in the referer field, but Google analytics still shows traffic coming from those.

    Have I missed something?
