    Hi,

Does Squirrly work with AMP Pages? As I just got this error from Google Search Console and was wondering how to fix it. I guess it has something to do with the canonical tags or something else?

    Hi,

Squirrly on-page SEO works with AMP Pages because the meta tags from Squirrly are compatible with both desktop and mobile versions.

If you are using an AMP theme or AMP plugin, they should add the AMP canonical in the Non-AMP pages. This link looks something like: <link rel=”amphtml” …

You can read more about it here:
    https://www.ampproject.org/docs/fundamentals/discovery

Let me know if you need further assistance

So, can I add the canonicals with Squirrly? As I see the errors still exist.

Plus I got an error from Search Console saying that Structured Data is missing from AMP Pages. Isnt Squirrly adding those data to the AMP Pages? The data exists for the normal pages and I verified it with the Structured Data Testing tool as well.

    Hi,

You can add canonicals with Squirrly SEO Snippet when you edit a post.

The Structure for AMP is added by the Theme. Json-LD code added by Squirrly is for Article entity.

You can check the Structured data here:
    https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool

    Hi Calin,

Thanks understood. I just saw that Squirrly is also not adding JSON-LD to desktop pages, that is why the AMP is showing error. Can you please let me know? And this is happening with the ‘tag’ pages that I have. Please let me know.

    Hi,

Normally, Squirrly SEO adds Json-LD for all pages. You can check the post types for which you don’t want Squirrly to load (in Squirrly > SEO Settings)

For Tags and Categories the Json-LD can’t include an author because it contains a set of articles with different authors and different publish dates.

In that case, can we have the fields removed for the tags and categories pages

As we have fields for those but empty values, thus making Google Search Console give errors.

    Thanks.

Yes, I’ll add this option for Tags and Categories and let you know when you can download the new version.

    Hi,

We removed the Json-LD for tags and categories when some of the fields can’t be completed.

Let me know if it’s working okay after the upgrade.

    Best regards,
    Calin
