Reference transaction not available unless if you are using subscription product

  • I’m a customer support agent work for one of a WooCommerce based plugins. This new plugin creates bad experience in one click upsell/downsell. In this new plugin, users have to make the payment twice for the original order’s payment and again for the upsell/downsell. The reference transaction is not available in this new plugin unless if you are using subscription product.

    Can you provide more details on what you are trying to achieve or which upsell plugin you are using?
    A vaulted token will be created for all purchases, not just for subscriptions, so I’m not sure what you mean with Reference Transactions only being available for subscription products. Once a payment method has been vaulted, it can be used without the customer being present when Reference Transactions are enabled for the merchant account. Otherwise, without Reference Transactions, the customer must be present to confirm the payment, but a one-click upsell solution should work either way.
