Reference a cell value from within a paragraph
-
Hi there,
Just made a donation because, frankly, this mod is so damn flexible and useful that I can’t ever see myself not using it. It’s a core part of my installation and I needed to pay my dues.
Anyway, I have a quick question: Is it possible to reference the value of a particular table cell from within a paragraph?
For example, my tables hold annual data that have an additional row added to them every year. Above that table, I have some narrative that refers to data within the table (eg: “2013’s rates were 10.2 per… etc”). Rather than me updating the number in the text every time the table is added to, I would prefer that number to automatically update like a variable.
This response seems to indicate that this is perhaps possible by defining the location of the cell within a shortcode:

However, I was wondering whether it can be tweaked to reference the last cell in a column, or the last cell in a row?
Even if you could point me in the right direction of what I need to read, I’d be greatly appreciative as my Google-fu is having trouble locating the correct keywords to search on.
WP: 3.6
TablePress: 1.1.1Many thanks,
Tambo
