• Hey! I like having my blog posts on my front page but, for menu reasons, I’d like to have a link to a page that displays only my posts.

To reiterate: I want to have my posts displayed both on my front page and on a second page.

How can I go about this?

    Thanks!

    Thank you.

So I have to make the child theme first, right? Including the style.css file, new folder, etc.

If I then use that code inserted into a file (blog.php), that will automatically show up in my pages for my menu?

It’s just convoluted and I’m a touch confused. Thank you for your patience.

I tried it and it didn’t work as I wanted it to.

    Any other ideas?

Maybe I could insert a page marker in the home page just above the posts, call it Blog, and link to that from the menu?

No. As acub said in that post:

Save the code above in your child theme folder, as blog.php, [then] select it as the page template for the page you want to display your blog on.

I think you probably missed the step where you select it as the template in your blog page (inside the “page attributes” box on the right of the page edit screen).

Well, I tried to select it as the template, but it didn’t show up.
