Reducing Stock not working

Quick question guys,

I have a plugin which utilises your stock reduction but it no longer seems to work I simply use :-

wc_reduce_stock_levels($order_id);

I have checked the order item meta and the function must run as the ‘_reduced_stock’ 1 is there but the product loses no stock and the order note is not made.

I did not if I change status to failed and back to on-hold it reduces, can we no longer call the above function direct is it based on order status?

No worries either way I am looking in the core and cannot see anything that suggests so.

A kick in the right direction would be awesome.
