reducing latency?

    Any suggestions on ways to reduce latency? On my wordpress blog I have a webform in the sidebar, and an overlay that appears after 30 seconds on the page. When I have the Mailerlite plugin enabled and look at my network waterfall, I see two calls to mailerlite domains (presumably to fetch the two forms) and they each have ~625ms of “waiting” time.

    This means enabling Mailerlite slows my website page load time by 1.2 seconds.

    Any recommendations for how I can reduce or eliminate that waiting time?
