reduce the width of template

There is boxed layout mode in theme with fixed width of 1200px.
If you like you can change the code from the css.

I have managed and decreased the width of template but in some browser it is viewed differently the middle content is not decreased.The code which I have used is

body.boxed #page {
width: 77%;
}

If there is any other css to do so please inform

There are codes in responsive.css mentioning the width of page, so that might be making difference.
Check it once.
