Does that theme come with an apparent section of the dashboard named “Custom CSS” or similar?

In that section enter:

.content {
 padding-top: 0;
}

Does that do what you want?

where am I writing that in the “custom css”?

Only line where I can see .content is: .content-bottom {background:#353535;border-color:#303030; }

Sure, just put your CSS at the bottom. Have a convention of always putting new CSS modifications right at the bottom.

Hmmm…that didn’t work out. First I tried at the bottom of the “Custom css”, but then the whole site was messed up.
Then I tried right under the .content-bottom {background:#353535;border-color:#303030; }
But then nothing happened…

Any suggestions for what I am doing wrong?

Sorry but I think the only way to debug this is if you could replicate the issue of the whole site messing up again

I’ve messed it up again now, and I see that when I put the “code” you sent me in the very end/bottom of the css it is only messing up the slide-area
