    hi

    How can I make sure that the products (images therefore) are seen first before the description of the product categories.
    Indeed to be well classified by google, according to Yoast’s advice, product category descriptions must contain within 300 words, but the problem for visitors is that they must go down until they finally have access to the products on the first page, when they turn to the second page finally they have direct access to the products.
    I tried “more” which is not understood.
    is there a shortcode? And where should I put it?
    thank you

    Hi @penseelibre

    I’m not entirely clear what you mean here. Do you want to have the products come first, followed by the content (that starts with “Bienvenue dans ma Boutique d’artisanats”) below it?

    yes ! it is that, and on every products categories
    for example : https://www.artisanathai.com/categorie-produit/decoration/

    and others !

    thanks

    i have one idea, (but i do not know if google like it !) in my menu link product categories p.2, it is possible by making personalized links, for each category and not the categories!

    I’d prefer another solution!

    Hi @penseelibre

    Storefront’s design has already good SEO out of the box; having the category description before the products is not necessarily better (or worse) than having it after the products.

    It is true that the description should be short and concise, so you may want to look into that first.

    If you really want the category description to come after the products, then you can do that by adding the following CSS code to your site:

    .home #main,
    .tax-product_cat #main {
      display: flex;
      flex-direction: column;
    }

    .home #main .woocommerce-products-header,
    .tax-product_cat #main .woocommerce-products-header {
      order: 10;
      padding-top: 40px;
    }

    finally I’m in the process of destroying all the long descriptions (which I keep on my computer just in case)
    to the eye I didn’t like to have to “read” all this and go down to finally see my products appear!

    Hi @penseelibre,

    Good work so far, it does look good with a shorter description as long as that meets your SEO goals as well.

    If it helps at all, this only shows up on the first page (by design). ??

    thank you
    I think like you,
    I close as resolved,
    but to be continued on the yoast support without answer at this minute (and maybe never!)
