    Hello Frank, hope you’re well!

    I’ve activated the CDN-feature inside AO-settings and there are some strange redirects for this cdn-domain. Please go tab “Performance Grade” and take a look at the small arrow on the right for “Minimize redirects”.

    We use MaxCDN. We also have a Domain-SSL with wildcards (it’s setup inside MaxCDN, too) and for all other requests it works pretty well.

    We set 4 CDN-Domains: cdn.domain.de, cdn2.domain.de, cdn3.domain.de, cdn4.domain.de

    The first one, the third one and the fourth one are set inside Zencache. The second one (cdn2) is set just inside AO. It’s set like this: https://cdn2.domain.de

    If I deactivate AO and use just Zencache, this issue will not happens. If I deactivate Zencache and use just AO, the issue stays, so it seems that it is AO-related..

    Do you have an idea how to fix this?

    Thank you and best regards
    Bruno

    very weird really. does this also happen when using cdn.domain.de (or cdn3 or cdn4)?

    Yes, it’s always the same, no matter what cdn-sub is used. But it happens just with ssl enabled. I asked the support from MaxCDN before. They told me that everything is setup properly..

    I have another website with almost the same setup (Zencache and 4 CDN-Subs), but without ssl. Everything works fine there.

    The other website is on the same server with the same theme

    after some hard thinking, I came to the following conclusion;
    the only way this makes any sense, is if you configured your origin URL to be HTTP instead of HTTPS;

    1. browser -> maxcdn: give me https://maxcdn
    2. maxcdn -> origin: give me https://origin
    3. maxcdn <- origin: go to https://origin
    4. browser <- maxcdn: go to https://origin

    so do you have your origin set to HTTP or HTTPS? ??

    If you mean the origin-settings inside MaxCDN, I looked for this as first step before I wrote to you. The origin inside MaxCDN is setup properly to https://domain.de.

    But it seems that you linked me to the right way. I purged the complete cache inside the CDN-settings. After this I cleared the page-cache one more time (this time I erased the complete folder over ftp) and I cleared also the browser cache.

    It seems that purging really everything solved the problem.. Now Pingdom and GTMetrix love our website : )

    Thank you for this Frank!

    Best regards,
    Bruno
