• 4.4 totally screwed my site.
I have a small retail site running woocommerece that has been fine for a year until 4.4. Now people cannot put certain products in the cart and pages are redirecting all over the place or missing. I cleared cache, all other plugins are up to date.

How can I go back to the previous version of WordPress?

  • Hi apexglobal.

You can do that with following this video.

And dont forget to backup your database files in advance.

Hi apexglobal, are you using a premium theme or a custom build? Woocommerce regularly breaks when something has been updated.

    You can try the following..
    1. Update Woocommerce if you haven’t done already.
    2. If a premium theme, check if the developer has released a new version.

I would recommend keeping WordPress up to date and not backtracking.

Backup before you do any updates.

Thank you. I went back to the previous version of wordpress and the site is working fine.

4.4 is a crock of crap. This experience has been a big pile of unnecessary work across several sites, with several clients quite upset at the sales they lost. Who do we bill for that? No, we have to eat it.

Whoever is responsible for releasing 4.4 should be booted off the project. Ridiculous.
