Redirecton to Thank-you-page not working

We have an annoying problem that we can’t fix. Sometimes users are not redirected to the thank you page after purchase, but to the checkout page. They immediately click the buy button again and we get a lot of duplicate orders. Also, the status is not changed to completed. This happens with about 10% or Amazon Pay orders. It is very difficult to troubleshoot. We can’t track the user data because they are not logged into WordPress. Sometimes we see an error for a split second. It’s like “your session has expired” or something like that. It disappears so fast that we can’t take a screenshot of it. The log files don’t provide any useful information as far as I can see. We’re using version 1.11.0, and the latest version doesn’t work at all. The progress bar is spinning forever. This problem has already been posted here.
