• Hi there,

First off – thanks for creating and supporting such a an excellent plugin for the community. Great work!

Second, a question. When looking the the PF dashboard list of Fixed URLs – I’ve noticed that the URLs listed are actually a combination of the old and new URLs. Here is an example from my site:

    https://EXAMPLE.com/blog//https://EXAMPLE.com/category/blog/

Is this a problem that might effect SEO on the front end or simply a quirk of the back-end implementation? The redirections themselves are working just fine and visiting a URL with that structure does take me to the desired page, but it just is not quite what I expect to see in that column.

    Thanks a lot!

In the newer version, which I have not yet released, this bug is fixed. It is only in the log information that it is displaying wrong so there is no issue with SEO.

You can download a more currecnt stable version at https://www.blogseye.com from the beta testing page and you will see that the error has been cured.

Thanks a lot for the quick response Keith,

I was guessing that it was not going to be a big issue – but wanted to double check.

    Thanks again!

    Hello Keith,

6 months ago you wrote “In the newer version, which I have not yet released, this bug is fixed.” but I’ve just downloaded and installed the plugin today and I noticed this bug. What can we do to have it fixed? Is there a way we can modify some redirects?

Thank you for considering my request.

    Best regards,
    Florence.

The version on BlogsEye.com is the fixed version. I am not working on plugins anymore – too much trouble for very little money. I am hoping my plugins fade away.

    Keith

recently i found this problem on my site too!

Its very bad that you don’t support plugin anymore !
it was very good solution for 404 pages that other plugins can’t do that as good as yours.
i hope your problems be solved and you come to support this again !

    Thanks Amin,

I created these plugins for myself and should never have released them. There are hundreds of thousands of people using the plugins and even though I get support requests from a very tiny minority, that is too much for me to handle.
I have many (20 or 30?) plugins, some are popular.
After a couple of years the plugins will no longer appear in WP searches.
Since I still work on the plugins for my own use, I will post the code on blogseye.com. Since very few people will know this, I will be able to handle the occasional issue.

    Keith
