Redirection of thousands of urls with parameter in the slug

Please try creating the following redirection:

Source URL: (.*)/?expand_domains=*
Type: Regex
Destination: https://www.mydomain.com/$1

After that, please apply this filter code to your website to avoid redirection loop: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#redirect-remove-query

Unfortunately the redirect does not work following the steps indicated above.

I created the redirect in Rank Math and then used the Code Snippets plugin to insert the code, but it didn’t work.

The structure of my website is like this:

https://www.mydomain.com/article1/
https://www.mydomain.com/article2/

And so on for thousands of URLs.

Some of these URLs include the following parameter:

https://www.mydomain.com/article1/?expand_domain=1

I would like that parameter to be removed automatically and redirect to the clean URL:

https://www.mydomain.com/article1/

Unfortunately, this can’t be done using our Redirections module. You will have to use the Redirection plugin to remove the query string from the URLs. Here is a screenshot for your reference to create the correct rule in the Redirection plugin: https://i.rankmath.com/i/6Y55CW
