Hi and thanks for your great plugin : )

I have an issue, hope you can help. I provided screenshots.

1- This is when I want to add a redirect:

    View post on imgur.com

2- So, if I open advanced options, you can see, it looks like this:

    View post on imgur.com

3- But after adding the redirection, as you can see, the target not has been set:

    View post on imgur.com

4- So, if I click on edit, it says URL AND SERVER, while I have set it up on URL ONLY: (So, I need to change it again to URL ONLY to fix it)

    View post on imgur.com

Can you please tell me why this happens and how I can fix it?

    Thanks

I found another problem. I noticed that you added a feature “ignore case”. This is very good, however, seems now none of my previous redirection work because this feature didn’t exist at the time I setup those redirections.

All of these URLS have non unicode characters in them. It’s originally in Persian:

    View post on imgur.com

So for example this URL is not redirecting as expected:
    https://www.ajibtarin.com/%D8%B9%D8%AC%D8%A7%DB%8C%D8%A8-%D8%B7%D8%A8%DB%8C%D8%B9%DB%8C-%D8%B2%D9%85%DB%8C%D9%86/

I have around 800 redirects, how can I fix it?

    Thanks

/https://www.ajibtarin.com/misc/3696 is not a URL. Do you mean to put /misc/3696?

Hey John and thanks for your help.

I didn’t understand your point. This is a 404 not found link, I want to redirect it to homepage. I just provided the URL as sample, the issue exists for all of the URLs.

All of what URLs? I’m not really sure what you are trying to show me.

Image (1) shows an invalid URL. Image (2) shows the same invalid URL with an invalid target URL

What are you trying to do?

It’s really obvious John. I’m trying to redirect a 404 not found link to my homepage. Not sure why you confused : )

    I’m redirecting:
    https://www.ajibtarin.com/misc/3696/

    To:
    https://www.ajibtarin.com/

The problem is before submitting it, it has been setup on URL ONLY (screenshot 2). After submitting, the target (homepage) will be removed and it changes to URL AND SERVER (screenshot 4). So, I need to click on edit, and put it again on URL only, write the target again and save it.

For my second question, I found these options that fixed my problem with previous links:

    View post on imgur.com

But still the problem #1 exists, thanks.

Ok, I’m asking because it’s not obvious, and I can only answer when I understand the question.

As I mentioned, your URLs are not valid. If you want to redirect https://www.ajibtarin.com/misc/3696/ then you should enter /misc/3606/ as the source URL.

What you have entered is actually https://www.ajibtarin.com/https://www.ajibtarin.com/misc/3606

Oh sorry man, you are totally right. Sorry for the confusion. I always thought the plugin will automatically remove the domain part. So, I need to remove the domain part myself always.

    Thanks a lot John
