The quick fix is to do the redirect in PHP

As I mentioned in the other thread, WordPress itself does not work with PHP 4.7.

The minimum supported version of PHP for both WordPress and Redirection is 5.6.

I do not know what you mean by htaccess being devalued.

    Im sorry I meant 7.4

Ok. Redirection does work with PHP 7.4, and is in fact developed with 7.4. If you have a specific problem can you list that problem.

htaccess is not affected by this plugin or PHP.

Yes I had to drop my version of PHP down to 5.5.3 now working again

What problem are you seeing with 7.4?

Okay just for troubleshooting’s sake I upgraded back up to 7.4 and found when I did the upgrade all redirects. Became disabled.. I enabled them and its working fine in 7.4 as you say. Maybe when people update their PHP version it might be good to tell people to reactivate their URLs?

    Thank you BTW John!!

Changing your PHP version will have no effect on the status of redirects.

There has been no other report of this kind of problem so it seems more likely that the issue is caused by something else specific to your site.

I was able to repeat the bug 2x on 3 different sites on the client’s different web hosts. When upgrading to 7.4 redirects got disabled

Ok. I will keep that in mind.
