Hi there, thanks for this plugin.

“/wp-admin” is getting redirected to the desired error page but “wp-login.php” is not getting redirected to the desired error page.

I am using the latest version of the plugin.

    Why?

    Hello,

Thanks for using WPS Hide Login.

Are you using a redirection plugin ? Is there any option in any plugin (membership etc…) doing that on your WordPress ?

Try to deactivate every plugins except WPS Hide Login to check that.

It’s a freshly installed WordPress instance. There’s no plugin or custom code.

“wp-admin” is redirecting to “404” but “wp-login.php” is displaying a message saying there’s nothing found but this page is not a 404 error page. So, it is not redirecting to 404 and also the URL in the address bar is not updating.

Are you sure it’s a fresh install ? Is it a migrated WordPress ?

    Are you using Elementor ?

https://zero.example-io.com/wp-admin is getting redirected to https://zero.example-io.com. But https://zero.example-io.com/wp-login.php is not getting redirected to https://zero.example-io.com.

    Login URL: https://zero.example-io.com/sign-in
    Username & Password: wpshide

Same problem after updating plugin. I still see Admin bar from homepage, but can’t access wp-admin/menu/widget/Edit profile…. All 404 error.

WPS Hide Login doesn’t redirect to the hompage but to 404. It’s the first behavior which isn’t correct and not due to WPS Hide Login.

Wow. Are you serious right now?

I mean, why it is so hard for you to understand that there are people who also knows that WPS Hide redirects users to 404 by default and this plugin also offer an option to set custom redirect. If someone(logged out users) tries to visit “wp-admin” and “wp-login.php” page they will be redirected to that page.

Now, do I have to educate you about your plugin?

From the beginning, you have been acting weird. Well, I am marking this issue as resolved because I am not going to use this plugin anymore. However, thanks for your replies. You tried hard to understand the issue yet failed. No worries.

    @engrrajonahmed You didn’t say you configured a redirection in the plugin’s settings…

You’re talking about good and wrong 404 and then about homepage. I’m trying to follow ??

    Hello!
I am experiencing the same issue: Logged off redirection only works for wp-admin, wp-login.php does not change the url and instead just displays the theme’s default 404 page (not the intended redirect page).
I’ve been reading the code and trying to understand where it might be happening but I’m still unable to.

This issue is the same as the one reported in this post, as you can tell in the video it recreates the situation by testing without Elementor enabled first, which in my case I am using too.

    Hello!
I am experiencing the same issue too, with version 1.9.13.2 on a new fresh installation, but on another web page within the same domain I have updated the same version and on that web page it works.

    Hey guys,

For anyone coming to this thread to inform the author about the same issue, please be informed that the author’s website for this plugin also has the same problem.

    Check here:
    https://www.wpserveur.net/wp-admin
    https://www.wpserveur.net/wp-login.php
*** Keep an eye on the browser address bar while visiting the plugin author’s website.

Most importantly, he has been aware of this issue for a very long time. So, since this is a free plugin, you can either wait for him to release an update, use another plugin, or hire a developer.
