Redirection After Login – Refresh Active Page

When setting the Redirection After Login = Refresh Active Page, I would expect redirection to the page from which the login link was clicked (i.e from the menu) instead of redirecting to the login page after login. It was hoping that if I put the UM Login page in a menu, then it would be coded as href=”login?redirect_url={get_permalink()]}”. Am I missing something, or is what I need not possible?
