    Hello friends,

I just opened the famous Google Search Console and I found out that I have 22 pages which appear with a redirect after I changed the slug using Yoast Plugin.

Basically I set a slug with WordPress when I created the page and then if I changed the slug on Yoast Plugin to optimize it for SEO purposes it turns out that
the old slug remains for WordPress and I have an error of a redirect.

I am really new with all so I have no idea about how to fix it. Can anyone give me a hand?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with Yoast.

Yoast created an automatic redirect if you change the slug of one of your pages. You can learn more about the redirect manager here: https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/redirects-manager/

Google Search Console alerts you when redirects are created because pages that have been redirected are not shown in the search results. If the redirects you created point to the pages you want to show in the search results, no further action is required.

We suggest revising the redirects you created by looking over the list in SEO > Redirects to make sure all the redirects point to the intended target URLs.

We hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hello mayadaibrahim,

    Thanks for the help.

Well now that I see how tricky is Yoast with that, I will make sure that next time I want to optimize a slug for SEO purposes I modify it manually from my WordPress.

I do not have budget to purchase the Yoast Premium version because I do not even have traffic on my website, is there a way to fix that manually without paying for the Premium version?

    Many thanks again.
