redirecting to /wp-admin/install.php

    Hi,

    I have this site which I have just moved over to a vps on 123 reg.

    It was running fine for a week, the only thing I amended in this week was uploading and deleting images.

    The site is now automatically redirecting to wp-admin/install.php

    I’ve read that this is to do with the MYSQL databases?

    Can anyone suggest what I should do to fix this? or has anyone seen this problem before and know the cause?

    You should contact your host, they would be able to track down and figure out what an issue like this may be.

    Hi,

    I know, That was exactly my response to it. but low and behold 123 reg couldn’t find anything wrong with it, which personally I’m guessing they didn’t even look properly.

    Has anyone had any similar issues?

    I can’t really guess. too many things to look at from your wordpress install to your dns and htaccess rules.

    I also don’t know of anyone who has had this issue but someone may post.

    Thank you for your reply, I finally figured out that somehow the database had corrupted, safe to say site is back up now ??
