• I am trying to manually install wordpress on my new site resumerevivalist.com. I have followed the famous 5 minute installation instructions, used filezilla, changed the wp-config file, everything. When I go to the installation URL http//resumerevivalist.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php, I am redirected to wordpress.com (https://en.wordpress.com/typo/?subdomain=resumerevivalist) and not the admin login page. Any ideas why?

if the domain name was pointed to a site with that name at wordpress.com before you set up your own site then you have to wait for the internet (and wordpress.com’s cache) to stop indexing the old site. this can take a few days unfortunately…

    Thanks for the input!

Vicky – If there is no resumerevivalist.wordpress.com account, then do I need to create one and map my new site to it? I have two other sites (thespicymeatball.com and stefaniedesantis.com) and haven’t had to do that, wondering if this is new.

Jack – neither resumerevivalist.wordpress.com nor resumerevivalist.com existed until yesterday, could it still be an indexing issue?

Ultimately, my problem is that when I used GoDaddy to install wordpress through their one click tool, it connected me and logged me to the wordpress.com admin panel where there were no options to upload your own theme or add plugins etc. Then it looked like I needed to buy wordpress.com for business to get all of the features I want…not what I wanted.

Trying to figure out where I went wrong and if uploading 4.3.1 from www.remarpro.com manually is what I need to do to install the version I need.

dear thespicymeatball.com and stefaniedesantis.com are hosted on bluehost.com but resumerevivalist.com is hosted on wordpress .both are on different hosting that’s why both have different process.but now https://resumerevivalist.com/wp-admin/install.php have started working .check it now.remember every DNS process take 24 hours.check you website now and install ,it started working
